The celadon jade is well-polished to a shiny surface. It is naturalistically carved as a dog resting on a stand, modelled with floppy ears, muscular legs, sharp claws, curled tail alongside its rear haunches. There is a vertical aperture throughout its body for stringing, which is very unusual.

青白玉，晶瑩溫潤。圓雕一犬蹲坐於座上，大耳下垂，腿部肌肉發達，尖爪，長尾回捲於後臀。身上有垂直圓孔貫穿供繫佩，十分罕見。
