The celadon jade with minor russet inclusions is finely polished and carved as a recumbent deer, its four legs tucked tightly beneath its body. It is modelled with a pair of long horns grown towards the back of its head, its head raised and looking forward, its body incised with asterisks to denote its dotted fur.

青玉，晶瑩溫潤，略帶沁色。巧雕一鹿呈伏臥狀，四肢屈於腹下，長角向後伸展，昂首向前方遠望，身上陰刻星形以呈現斑點。
