The well-polished celadon jade with russet inclusions is finely carved into a reclining beast with its limbs tucked underneath; its head with short ears and round eyes turned to the right, the long tail curled up, imitating the carvings of mythical beasts of earlier times.

青白玉，晶瑩溫潤，帶雅美沁色。獸圓雕，短耳，大眼，回首側視，長捲尾，四肢緊貼身軀，呈伏臥狀。造型模仿早期的吉祥獸玉件。
