The lavender jadeite is well carved into a plump double gourd.
In the Chinese language, the pronunciation for "gourd" (hu lu) is similar to the word for "fortune and wealth" (fu lu). Characterised by seeds and intertwining tendrils, the gourd is also connected with fertility and abundance.
